Yesterday some of us were up for conveying our topic presentations in class and I was amongst of those presented in class now it’s time for the next challenges of my studies.
I discovered that all of us found it challenging to present our topics in only 5 minutes nevertheless it was a good experience and I really wish I can be able not afraid of the stage and gain more confidence in myself.
Good luck to those of you who will present next week!

ReplyDeleteYou didn't come across as being "afraid of the stage", but you are certainly not alone!!!
ReplyDeleteI've more than once read that most people would rather die (!) instead of talking in front of a live audience.
I've taken a course a while ago, by a lovely lady who also does voice training. She teaches a few techniques to help one to act confidently in front of others even though you do not necessarily feel confident.
Although I still do not like public speaking, her "Speaker's ABC booklet" has helped me a lot. I can bring it to class if you'd like?
Thank you Ingrid, I real wish you can give me thee confidence you have. I will love to have a copy please.
DeleteI think public speaking is feared by many - even those who are good at it. The good thing in class was that we were all nervous. I'm sure we'll improve with experience. You came across as someone who knew exactly what you were talking about, though - my compliments!
ReplyDeleteThank you my classmate for the complements. Suraya believe me it was a great mission and accomplishment. I really wish to get read of tongue twist and frequent freezing when am presenting
DeleteTrue Suraya! Nambitha, I'll gladly share and have posted on my blog a link or two on presenting and if it can help just a teeny weeny bit, I'll be glad. Check out my post on Gilbert's page and we can talk again about confidence :D http://ictgrowth.blogspot.com/2013/04/sharpening-your-skills-powerpoint.html.
